Cape Agulhas has a lot of history as one of the major hazards on route to sailors final destination. Cape Point is sometimes mistaken as the most Southern Point and where the 2 oceans divide as Cape Point is far more majestic and Cape Agulhas unspectacular compared.
Cape Agulhas Sightseeing Day Trip
Cape Agulhas Lighthouse was the third Lighthouse to be build in South Africa and the second oldest working Lighthouse. The focal point is 31 m above High water. The 2 towers are 27 m high with a keepers house in the centre which is now a small restaurant and museum. The range of the 7.5 Megacandela Lantern is 56 km. The rotating Lantern gives off 1 flash every 5 seconds.

Arniston Day Tour
Arniston is a small seaside village close to Cape Agulhas. Arniston was previously know as Waenhuiskrans before the Arniston Ship sank and was then named after the British East Indian Ship Called 'The Arniston' was on its way to Repatriate English Soldiers and ran onto the Waenhuiskrans reef. This was because the ship did not have a chronometer to navigate. In May 1918 only 6 of the 378 survived the wreck.
Arniston Sightseeing Day Tour
This is the Cave near the Arniston Hotel which is known as Waenhuiskrans, which means Wagon House Cliff. Its a 20 min walk from the Arniston Hotel. Its called Waenhuiskrans as you can easily fit a Ox wagon and a span of Ox inside the cave, that opens up to the sea. Make sure to bring your costumes and towels for a quick dip in this beautiful ocean with torques colors.

Struisbaai is a very small fishing village that boasts the longest beach in the Southern Hemisphere at 14 km long. It has a natural harbor and sometimes you can feed the Stingrays that frequent the harbor. They not shy and come feet deep to the shore. Its incredible to see. Struisbaai is only 4km from Cape Agulhas.
Wild Life Rescue Center
This Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit company that's build an environmentally friendly sanctuary for all captive bred big cats to live out their lives well protected. The sanctuary is to educate and create awareness about the conditions big cats face in captivity. How animal welfare and play, play a vital role in a captive life of a big cat. The sanctuary does not allow cub petting, trading and breeding.
